I live in Russia. Can I use US stock broker?
Hi. I got some money (about $4k) and I want to invest them. Currently I keep them in a local bank and get about a 5 percent year interest rate. The inflation in my country is about 10 percent and growing, so now I’m loosing. There’re some banks which can give me about 12 percent for long-term deposits but it doesn’t work for me either. So now I’m looking for other ways to make my cash work for me. I wonder: can I do it with a help of some US (EU or UK) broker? I’d like to give my bucks to some mutual fund or try a forex trading. I got a visa card and can create a PayPal account if required. Another question: would I have to pay my income taxes and where (in Russia or in the US)? Thanks in advance.

Which areas in the USA has most people trading Forex? I can't find any info on this anywhere!?
Just curious. I know for online stock trading, pretty much every area in the USA is covered. But Forex is such a high-risk arena and one that is FULL OF SCAMS, that I don't think ordinary people would trade it. My friend started a business startup that delivers live Forex quotes for free and asked if I'd join. Well, I want to know if the time and effort I put in will be worth it. Which areas in the US has most people wanting to trade Forex? What type of people like to trade forex? I get the feeling it's mostly hedge fund managers in NYC who do it.....rather than individual middle class people.

Does US foreign policy takes into account that China forex reserve have crossed $1 trillion?
within few years Chinese forex reserve will be crosiing $1.5 trillion. It have been buying spree in Asia, africa and South America for all kind of raw materials. It has nukes and long range missiles to reach US soil. So direct military conflict will be bloody. Under two 25 years plans China will consolidate its position in South China sea, Asia, Afriaca and convert its navy to blue navy before it start flexing its muscle and Taiwan will first US test. Should US tries to splitting China like it did with erstwhile USSR to reduce the power of raging dragon.
